Systeme.io Review: What the Free Plan Actually Gives You
Systeme.io promises a website, email marketing, sales funnels and online courses in one platform — with a free plan that never expires. We checked its own published pricing page to see exactly what the free plan includes, where its limits sit, and who it genuinely suits.

This page contains an affiliate link to Systeme.io. We may earn a commission if you sign up or purchase through it, at no additional charge to you. We opened our own free Systeme.io account and checked the plan details on Systeme.io's own pricing page on 6 November 2026. Prices and limits can change; the numbers below are what that page stated on that date. This is a pricing-and-features review, not a hands-on performance test: we opened a free account, but we have not tested the platform by running a business on it.
The short answer
- If you are starting out — a first website, a first email list, a first course or digital product — the free plan is a genuine starting point: 2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels, 1 course, 1 blog, a custom domain and unlimited email sends, with no credit card required.
- If you already run a large list or need deep automation, the free plan's limits (1 automation rule, 1 email campaign, 500 students) will pinch quickly, and a paid plan or a specialist tool may fit better.
- Either way, you can test it for $0. The free plan does not expire, so the honest way to judge it is to build one real thing on it and see where you touch a limit.
What Systeme.io is
Systeme.io is an all-in-one platform for running an online business. Instead of separate subscriptions for a funnel builder, an email service, a course platform and a website, it combines them in one account: sales funnels, email marketing, online courses, websites and blogs, plus an affiliate-program tool for your own products and automation rules that connect them. Systeme says the platform powers more than 500,000 entrepreneurs.
The honest trade-off of any all-in-one is the mirror image of its convenience: one platform can reduce the number of separate software subscriptions you manage, but a specialist tool may offer capabilities that an all-in-one platform does not. For a beginner, depth is rarely the problem — finishing the first setup is. That is the gap the free plan aims at.
The free plan, in numbers
These are the limits Systeme.io's own pricing page stated for the free plan when we checked on 6 November 2026:
| Item | Free plan |
|---|---|
| Price | $0 — free forever, no credit card required |
| Contacts | 2,000 |
| Emails sent | Unlimited |
| Sales funnels | 3 |
| Online courses | 1 |
| Students | 500 |
| Blogs | 1 |
| Custom domains | 1 |
| Automation rules | 1 |
| Email campaigns | 1 |
| Transaction fees | Systeme.io’s own fee: 0%. Payments run through your own Stripe or PayPal account; separate payment-provider fees may apply. |
Read the table the way a beginner would: these allowances may be sufficient for a small initial project, depending on your needs. Two limits worth checking early are the allowance of one automation rule and one email campaign. If your setup needs more than those allowances, compare the paid plans before committing to a workflow.
The paid plans
| Plan | Price | Headline limits |
|---|---|---|
| Startup | $17/month | 5,000 contacts · 10 sales funnels · 5 courses |
| Webinar | $47/month | 10,000 contacts · 50 sales funnels · 20 courses · evergreen webinars |
| Unlimited | $97/month | Unlimited contacts, funnels, courses and automation rules |
Every plan, including the free one, includes unlimited email sends, unlimited file storage and 0% transaction fees, according to Systeme.io's pricing page. Systeme.io compares its platform with a separate four-tool stack whose advertised starting prices total around $245 per month. That is Systeme.io’s own illustrative comparison, not a like-for-like feature or cost analysis. Its $17/month Startup plan may be worth comparing with separate subscriptions, depending on which features and limits your business actually needs.
Who it fits — and who it does not
- Fits: a beginner launching a first course, digital product or service business; a small business that wants a website plus an email list in one place; anyone testing an idea who wants the test to cost $0.
- Less suited: businesses with large existing lists that would land straight on paid tiers; marketers who need complex, multi-step automation from day one; teams that want a best-in-class specialist tool for one single job and are happy to pay for several subscriptions.
How to start (the free way)
- Create the free account. No credit card is required, and the free plan does not expire.
- Build one thing first. Create a single funnel or a simple website page — do not try to build the whole business on day one.
- Connect your own domain (the free plan allows one) and publish. Send your first emails to your first contacts and watch which limit you approach first — that limit, not a sales page, tells you if and when a paid plan is worth it.
We may earn a commission if you sign up or purchase through this link, at no additional charge to you. Our recommendation is to start on the free plan and pay nothing until a limit genuinely gets in your way.
The bottom line
Systeme.io’s free plan includes several useful starting features: funnels, email, a course, a blog and a custom domain, with unlimited email sends and no credit card at the door. Its limits are real, and some may matter even before your business earns revenue — particularly if your setup requires multiple automation rules or email campaigns. If you are beginning an online business, the free plan lets you test several core features without paying a subscription or providing a credit card: build one real thing on the free plan, and let your own usage decide the rest. More tools we have researched are collected on our recommended tools page, and if you would rather have a website set up for you, our website services page shows the packages.
